When did you discover your calling?
When PBS released its adaption of “Tales of the City”, there was one quick scene where a Sister goes rollerskating by Michael Tolliver. The scene only lasted about 2 seconds, but the joy on that Sister’s face as she glided by was burned into my little pubescent mind. I knew that was something I would do one day.

When did you discover your calling?
I had thought about starting an Atlanta Chapter and had actually contacted the Motherhouse in San Fran at the end of 08. Things got hectic with other funraisers in 09 and I put it on the backburner. Then at the Pride Parade 2010, I was watching at the start of the parade, and then The Atlanta Sisters came around the corner! I simply cannot describe the feeling of joy that came over me. Someone else had the same belief that Atlanta was ready and NEEDED an order here. My partner said it was a sign. I contacted the Flaming Sugarbakers the next week, and once they asked me to join I jumped - it has been a great journey else since.
